Slightly misty as we arrived and lots of water droplets on the spider webs. Beautiful. We worked along the reserve next to St Macartans PS. Removed all the Watsonias and smaller woody weeds that we could find in the section. A bit of a landmark as we have now removed all the Watsonias, Gorse, Burgan, Broom and Blackberry from Bungower Road entry gate for 500m on both sides of the tracks. A great achievement!!
There will be some regeneration of these weeds but we can now cope with those with yearly maintenance weedings.
And there are still challenges in that area – exotic grasses, Freesias and some larger woody weeds in particular.
